The Spanish companies invoiced half de the electronic commerce in 2007

For the first time from 2001, the Spanish companies almost generated half de the total volume de business that the electronic commerce invoiced in our country during 2007, according to the data de the Report on electronic commerce de IV the trimester de 2007 published by the CMT. During the last year, this type de interchanges moved in Spain 3,740 million Euros, de which 49.1% (1,834 million) corresponded with transactions that the consumers realized to acquire products and services coming from Spanish Web sites.

Taking care de the geographic origin de the Spanish purchases to Web, 14.2% were realized from Web sites de the foreigner (532 million) and 34.8% rest (1,302 million) corresponded to purchases realized within Spain. On the other hand, 50.9% rest corresponded to purchases realized from Spain and to foreign Webs. The annual commercial deficit threw a negative balance de 1,372 million Euros, against 1,038 million registered in 2006.

The leisure and the tourism drove the purchases

During 2007, the electronic commerce grew a 52% with respect to the previous year, pushed by the transactions that the consumers realized to acquire products and services related to the leisure and the tourism. The ticket purchases de airplane and to agencies de tourist travel-operators registered annual income de 960.2 and 452.6 million Euros, respectively. These two sectors presented/displayed discharges rates de inter-annual growth, with an increase de 73% and 70%, respectively.

In the third position by income the transactions directed to pages were placed Web de chance games and bets, with income de 208.8 million Euros, a 29.5% more than in 2006. In fourth place it appeared the acquisition de entrances to attend artistic spectacles, sport and recreational, that a business de 195.3 million Euros generated, a 50% more than the previous year.

The EU, main receiver de purchases from Spain

Most de the purchases realized from Spain and to foreign Web sites had to the countries de the European Union like main receivers, to reaching 1,642 million Euros, a 86% de the total de the purchases. On the other hand, the interchanges from Spain with Web sites de the USA reached 152 million Euros, a 8% de the total.

For the first time, during the last trimester de 2007, the electronic commerce in Spain surpassed the 1,000 million Euros, until reaching 1,021, a 50.7% more than the same trimester de 2006. The sectors that more volume de business they generated were: the aerial transport, with a 23% de the total de the income, the tourist travel agencies and operators, with 10% de the total and the purchase de entrances for artistic, sport and recreational spectacles, with a 6.8%.
